Berlin electronic pop/house duo Glowing Glisses -- Florian Schirmacher and Guido Schneider -- prefaced their full-length debut on Poker Flat with a small clutch of 12" releases, including “Shaked Ladies" and “On the Bridge." Chicago house legend Larry Heard remixed “On the Bridge" for another release on Dessous, which also came out prior to the album. Silver Surfer, released in early 2003, included the A-sides from the singles along with a batch of new productions. Over half the tracks included vocals from Schirmacher, whose deep voice was an ideal match for Schneider's clean, minimal productions.
