The Austin, TX, funkadelic groove band Gnappy has been shaping it's eclectic stylings since 1999 when Buck McKinney hooked up with fellow local musician bassist Brad Bradburn. The two had both been major faces on the Austin rock circuit, having both played in Killing Floor and other various bands such as Dewato, Zulu Time, Retarded Elf, and Year Zero. Their passion for acid jazz led them to form a band with drummer Kevin Pearson and saxophonist Marcus Cardwell. Gnappy's eponymous debut was issued in early 2001. ~ MacKenzie Wilson, All Music Guide
