Goblin Market

Goblin Market is the duo of Jeff Kelly and Laura Weller. In the 15 years or so prior to the release of Goblin Market's first CD in 2001, Kelly had been a figure on the U.S. indie scene both as a member of the Green Pajamas and as a quirky solo singer/songwriter. The lesser-known Weller joined the Green Pajamas only shortly before the release of the Goblin Market album. For Ghostland they wrote and sang bittersweet folk-rockish material; the pair wrote separately, not together, and occasionally set the poems of Emily Bronte, Elizabeth Sidal, Edgar Allan Poe, and Christina Rosetti to music. ~ Richie Unterberger, All Music Guide
