Greg Holland

Growing up in Douglas, Georgia, Greg Holland was inspired by gospel music and the Everly Brothers. He began appearing in local plays and sung Elvis songs on a local TV station. This earned him a chance to cut a demo and open for Ronnie Milsap at the age of 12. He performed in band during high school, playing trumpet, French horn and baritone sax; at the same time, he was the lead singer and guitarist for a Southern rock band, the Bad Boys. While in the Army for three years, he played in various groups and toured Europe in a soldiers touring company. When Holland returned to Georgia, he formed Borderline and toured the state. A Warner Bros. executive caught his show and signed him. Displaying his powerful country voice, Let Me Drive was released in 1994. Exception to the Rule was released in March of 1997. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
