Hamilton Bohannon was the drummer in Stevie Wonder's band from 1965 to 1967, and he worked as a bandleader and arranger on tours by Motown Records artists into the mid-'70s. He launched a recording career with Stop and Go in 1973 and scored ten R&B-chart singles through 1980, the most successful of which was the Top Ten hit "Let's Start the Dance" (1978).
