Hamilton Bohannon
Hamilton Bohannon was the drummer in Stevie Wonder's band from 1965 to 1967, and he worked as a bandleader and arranger on tours by Motown Records artists into the mid-'70s. He launched a recording career with Stop and Go in 1973 and scored ten R&B-chart singles through 1980, the most successful of which was the Top Ten hit "Let's Start the Dance" (1978). In 1980, he formed the group Bohannon and scored an additional nine R&B chart singles through 1983. ~ William Ruhlmann, All Music Guide
