Hammer Damage

Akron post-punk quartet Hammer Damage was formed in 1978 by ex-Rubber City Rebels bassist Scott Winkler and drummer Michael Hammer, who remained in Ohio when the rest of the Rebels lineup relocated to Los Angeles. Singer Dave Zagar and guitarist George Cabaniss completed the original Hammer Damage roster, although after issuing 1978's "Laugh," Cabaniss resigned to join the Dead Boys; the group continued on until 1982 before disbanding. ~ Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide
