Handful of Hate
Bio: Handful Of Hate was born in 1993 and since the beginning the band moved toward the most extreme Black /Death Metal forms. After some line-up problems and the tragic death of our bass player Ugo P. in 1994, finally in 1995 the band released the demo "Goetia Summa" supported by a lot of live shows together with the best Italian Metal bands (Necromass, Mortuary Drape, Opera IX). In 1996 Handful Of Hate signed a deal with the now defunct Italian label Northern Darkness Records, releasing two albums: the first full length CD "Qliphothic Supremacy", recorded in 1997 and two years later the second one called "Hierarchy 1999". In 2000 the deal with Northern Darkness Records expired and the band decided to walk our own path alone. On July 2001 the label Downfall Records from Sweden, released a limited 7”EP called “Death From Above” containing two new tracks, and in 2002 the band got a deal with the Italian label code666 for the release of the third album “ViceCrown” (2003). A lot of problems stopped our activity from the beginning, in particular the line-up changes and the deals with some unprofessional labels. For this reason I like to consider “ViceCrown” as a new start and a new period too, we recorded this album in a most professional way with a bigger budget and a really professional producer (Paso from Fear studios now Studio73) so the results have been amazing. “ViceCrown” gave us the possibility to play abroad Italy (UK, Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland) and to gain good responses.” During the following year Downfall rec. printed an mcd called “Blood Calls blood” including the previous “Death From Above” EP tracks, three new tracks and the Italian Warlord Records released a new EP “Scorn And Conquest” with a new song and a cover from Impaled Nazarene “The Horny and The Horned”. Then recent history reveals a new deal with Cruz Del Sur Music (Italy) and the new fourth album “Gruesome Splendour”. “This is for sure our best release ever! We got more time during the song writing phase and a longer and more intense studio recording session with the same producer of ViceCrown.” Timeline: 1993 HANDFUL OF HATE was born from the hands of Nicola B. 1994 Out the demo tape "Goetia Summa". 1996 HANDFUL OF HATE sign a deal with Northern Darkness Records to release two album.
