Hans Von Bronsart
A familiar to Liszt, Bulow, Wagner and Brahms, this German composer's production consisted of piano works (his primary instrument), performing and conducting. His "Piano Trio in G-mol" was so highly esteemed by Liszt that the latter dedicated his own Second Piano Concerto to him. Some of his compositions reflect the influence of others, notably Wagner, but his music and performing were lauded for their own merits. ~ Keith Johnson, All Music Guide
