Kamikaze Shinigami
Name Heart Impaled first came to me around in late 99 when I didn't have a name to release my music under. I started by producing different types of tracks for First Person Shooters and later with independent developers of RPG and MMORPG projects. I had a multitude of different abilities that helped keep some projects afloat for a little while, but in the end it all went under. I was mostly into all types of metal and symphonic music at the time and those were my main influences. To this day Metal and video game music inspires my sound. Even though, I wanted to push the boundries of my sound to a much heavier tone I was very limited financially and my only means were to create tracks through my computer at the time. I picked up the guitar a year later and taught myself how to play. Around 2005 I met several people who were interested and we attempted to form a band as I wanted to push this name - 'Heart Impaled' onto a stage and mold a sound as a true metal act and not something just coming out of my stinky hot room. Unfortunately it was really difficult to get people to gel together when there were too many conflicts between the members and their minds were somewhere else. It fell apart rather quick and I ended up wasting a whole lot of time. Demos became incoherent and my patience was wearing thin. I want back to producing and finally started to find my aggression and tone that I was aiming for. Somewhere between the metal, but not exactly like all the death metal clones. Something that stands out. I ended up doing it on my own in the end. And I feel good this way. Things get done and I don't expect anything from anybody. When others got involved it just hindered the progress. Now I have enough material for an act, and I will find the act. Heart Impaled was the act I was trying to form. Kamikaze Shinigami is my act. And the purpose of Kamikaze Shinigami is to possibly inspire the creation of something beyond just music itself. Books, Games, Animation. Like a fictional plugging into a sound of hard and heavy music to inspire new media. Not just background music, but completely influenced by the use of hard music to blur the lines between the two and altogether create this unique genre that takes metal to this next generation of the metal fans who didn't exactly grow up reading about just about dragons and superhero comic books, but playing video games, watching movies, animation and listening to the metal. As a metal musician I also got into making AMV's and I love to see good professional uses of hard metal music in unique new ways created by fans which are sometimes even better than the originals. I consider myself a different type of metal artist. I want to create a dark, sophisticated, intelligent story through music that would inspire the creation of something damn cool. Thanks to Meshuggah, Children of Bodom, Iced Earth, In Flames, Dark Tranquillity, Nevermore, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Testament, Anthrax, Necrophagist, Opeth, Dimmu Borgir and the many other unique great works that inspire. Description of the Music: A unique seamless blend of Industrial, Thrash, Groove and Death Metal that originally started out as electronic music created for video games. Then it slowly developed into what it currently is and continues to evolve.
