Horse the Band
HORSE the band is five stellar gods running from a haunted past they can't possibly forget. Formed on the mean streets of Los Angeles after the birth of the new millennium the members of HORSE began to create their exotic sound to fight the past and create the future. HORSE the band consists of Nathan the tormented poet beast on vocals, David the hyper-intelligent lover on guitar, Erik the child-like wizard of keyboards, Chris the baby horse awaiting his gelding on drums and Dash the gritty urban barbarian on bass. HORSE the band's music has won them many accolades for energy and originality. Often referred to as 'Nintendo-core' because of their ?spastic and glorious brutality they prefer to strike out and create their own unique sounds each time they manifest their powers. Among their many achievements HORSE was listed as one of Alternative Press' Top 100 Bands to Watch in 2005. One thing is for certain - You will love them or you will pretend not to, but in the end you can not deny their prowess. California's Horse the Band debuted in 2003 with R. Borlax, a noisy but undoubtedly leading light in the burgeoning post-hard- hardcore subgenre of Nintendocore. They followed up in 2005 with Mechanical Hand, which was produced by Matt Bayles (Isis, Norma Jean) and 2006’s Pizza EP, both released through Combat Records via KOCH. The band has become a much tighter unit, incorporating skewed melodies and real dynamics into their freaky sonic stew. Now the group is back with it’s third full length LP, A Natural Death. This is a new frontier for HTB. Produced by Bob Ezrin's in-house engineer Brian Virtue, the album is already getting heaps of praise in the press. The band is also on the road with Wes Borland’s (Limp Bizkit) Black Light Burns Tour leading up to their anticipated release date.
