I Love Pop are an electro pop band based in London & Franfurt. They're accidentally international. Dawn Joseph is from Jersey. Not New Jersey NY, but Jersey, a little island off France. Ralf Hildenbeutel comes from Frankfurt, Germany, and Pete Kearney is a Londoner but lives in France. They were writing and producing songs for other people, that's how they met. Sometimes they actually got paid! It was Ralf's idea. He was running his own electro label, Schallbau, with 3 friends but wanted to do something different. He asked Dawn and Pete to join him and that's how I Love Pop was born. They spent a lot of 2006 writing and recording together in a white garden shed erected in a loft in an old London sweet factory. The fabulous 'whiteshed', spiritual home of ILP! They have an e.p. and an album coming out early 2007 and they write pop songs for people who've given up on pop songs.
