IVOR
Ivor Carter's musical life began at the age of five when he strummed a guitar hidden in someone else's closet. He was hooked! Held back for years after losing two fingers on his right hand and thinking he would never play he learn't guitar at age sixteen and starting his first Band at eighteen. Although finding songwriting difficult he writes when the Spirit moves him often churning out the whole work in a few minutes. One of these was a song (A Song For Heather) dedicated to Ivor's sister Heather who took her own life in 1976. The song has a message of hope believing that there is life beyond the Veil and we will all see our departed loved Ones again. Each song is diverse in genre as is the writer whom sometimes writes of his past work experiences such as in WORKING DOG MAN while another song might come from his sheer imagination as in APPLE. Where will his songwriting go from here? Perhaps we shall just have to wait and see. Peace!
