Jabo
The self-proclaimed "Texas Prince of Zydeco," Jabo was among the Houston area's most prominent contemporary performers. Born Donald Glenn, he drew early influence from Clifton Chenier and Buckwheat Zydeco, basing his sound as much in the blues as in zydeco proper; in 1990, Jabo issued his debut LP Texas Prince of Zydeco. ~ Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide
