Jackie Caillier
The accordionist of the year according to the Cajun French Music Association in 1999, Jackie Caillier has led his band the Cajun Cousins to the upper echelon of Cajun music. Together with Ivy Dugas, Male Vocalist of the Year in 1997, 1998, and 1999; steel guitarist Danny Cormier; and drummer Keith Richard, Caillier continues to inspire dancers with an energetic mix of 2-steps and waltzes. A native of Orange, TX, Caillier received his first accordion as a Christmas gift in 1969. As a member of Dallas Roy and the Rambling Aces, he recorded the Cajun hit "I'm Glad to Be a Cajun From Church Point" in 1973. ~ Craig Harris, All Music Guide
