Michael Jackson, Usher, T.I, Mario, R. Kelly, Ginuwine, Justin Timberlake, Smokie Norful, Ludacris, India Arie, Tank, Brian McKnight, Tevin Campbell, Dru Hill, Boyz II Men, Tonéx, and D’Angelo, are all just a few of the many great talents that have helped form this young/fresh and unique artist known as Jaé R. Born and raised in Landover, MD, Jaé R was an average child who just loved to have fun with his friends and play all sorts of sports with them. It wasn’t long before he discovered his ability to sing and harmonize to his favorite songs on the radio. So he decided to join his elementary school chorus and loved it so much that he remained a part of his school chorus all throughout Junior High and High School as well. It was during his high school years that Jaé R decided that he wanted to really begin taking his singing more seriously. He entered into his very first talent show while in the 10th grade and won 1st place singing the Stevie Wonder classic, “Overjoyed”. Once Jaé R had his first adrenaline rush of being onstage, he knew that’s where he belonged and believed that he found his purpose in life. And not too long after his first show he entered himself into yet another talent show where he received 1st runner-up performing R. Kelly’s hit, “The World’s Greatest”. Due to his success in that particular show, he was invited to perform at the Show Place Arena in Upper Marlboro, MD. Along with singing and performing, Jaé R also has a brief history in the acting world as well. Jaé R has done national commercials, numerous school plays, print-work, and also had a small role in Tom Cruise’s blockbuster film “Minority Report”, directed by Steven Spielberg. Jaé R is currently working on his solo project with E-Nation Ent. “Just call me a singer,” is the reply Jaé R gives when asked about his specific musical style. Despite his strong R&B and Soul background, to categorize Jaé R as just that would be simply inaccurate. Jaé R is an extremely versatile artist, who welcomes the challenge and creativity offered in other musical genera’s. Quiet Confidence would be an accurate description of Jaé R’s demeanor. It is obvious to see that Jaé R has been blessed with a God given talent to express himself through singing; a talent he hopes is acknowledged and embraced throughout the world.
