Studied piano with Eduard Steuermann. Composition with Chou Wen-chung, Lionel Nowak, Paul Boepple, Henry Brant, Carl Ruggles, Kenneth Gaburo, Lejaren Hiller, Edgard Varése. Associate Member of the Technical Staff at Bell Telephone Labs from 1961-64. Developed computer systems at Yale and Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn. Co-founder Tone Roads Chamber Ensemble (1963-70), and performer with many ensembles including those of Steve Reich, Philip Glass, Harry Partch, John Cage, Fluxus. Lecturer at New School for Social Research.
