Jane Kelly Williams

Singer/songwriter Jane Kelly Williams grew up in Georgia, influenced by the hymns she heard in church. After high school, she moved to New York to study musical theory and assembled a band, including guitarist Marc Shulman, bassist Dave Richards, drummer Shawn Peltron, and percussionist Everett Bradley. Williams released an EP for Les Disques du Crepescule in 1989, and signed to the Mercury subsidiary Parachute for her 1996 album, Tapping the Wheel. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
