Jason Kaufman
I'm Jason Kaufman. I'm currently working as the music editor and a film writer at New York Sidewalk. Before that, I spent two and a half years at Us Magazine, covering any and every celebrity event that came my way as well as writing music and movie reviews and celebrity pieces. During that time, I also appeared on national television programs on the Fox News Channel, ABC, CBS and Entertainment Tonight to talk about show business. My work has also appeared in the New York Post, Premiere, Maxim and Teen. My introduction to the world of entertainment jounalism and criticism was the year I spent interning my feet off at Entertainment Weekly. I had originally pursued film production at Syracuse University but after graduation in 1994, I gave up on the life of a tired production assistant. I still find time to work on scripts in my spare time. I currently live in Manhattan with my girlfriend and my CDs, which are, sadly, never enough for me. Whenever I'm not working, you probably can find me at the movies and smiling that I receive lots of discs for free, though I never take this good fortune for granted. ~ Jason Kaufman
