Jason Kuhn
An accomplished singer/songwriter, Jason started with music at a young age, drumming by the age of 8 and performing in school bands, quickly escalating to more contemporary shows through his natural affinity for music and performance. By the age of 16, he had added guitar to his repertoire, and was playing and singing for a local bluegrass band, adding a distinctively modern, New-Country sound to the band’s traditional style of play — a sound that earned him many accolades from the fans that would grace the performances. Driven by a passion for music, Jason quickly mastered drums and acoustic guitar, and ventured out into mandolin and electric bass guitar. His unquenchable drive for music led him to study music more technically during his collegiate years, joining local bands as lead vocalist, his primary gifting, and lending his distinctive vocal and guitar sounds to their musical appeal. It was here, during his college years with the bands Right Now and Next Exit, that he first experienced studio recording, an experience that took his musical mastery to a whole new level of skill and technicality. Consumed by a love of music, he quickly turned his attentions to songwriting, which became a natural overflow of the artistic talent welling within him. His songwriting endeavors earned him immediate success, and he wrote and sold his own material to local radio stations who aired his work for commercial jingles. His significant break in his songwriting efforts came through producer Bob Brooks of Little Mountain Sound Studio in Vancouver, BC , who purchased and produced many of the songs that Jason had written, and whom he still has an ongoing relationship with, writing music, performing studio recordings, and singing background vocals for other music artists. His accomplishments with songwriting have earned him his ASCAP status, a noteworthy achievement for the blossoming artist and songwriter. In the midst of this, his success with his band Jwalk had nearly pushed him into the arms of mainstream radio and record label connections, the band playing venues throughout the Pacific Northwest, including a large-scale community effort in Vancouver, BC, playing for crowds in excess of 10,000 in attendance, and at regional fairs such as the Central Washington Fair and the Northwest Washington Fair. Performing at the Northwest Washington Fair, he won a significant regional vocal competition and was sent to compete nationally in Memphis, TN against a weighty group of professional vocalists. He took third place nationally for his vocal abilities and confident stage presence. It was the love of his family and his commitment to his church and responsibilities as a music director that finally led him to step down from his lead role in the band Jwalk in 1999. Since that time, he has applied himself to singing and songwriting, mixing his passions for contemporary Christian music and New-Country sounds, advancing himself as a leader in his profession and a rising artist in the Christian and Country music scenes. Jason is married to his wife, Laura, and together they have three children -- Wyatt, Savanna, and Lily.

Great sound, hard playing blues/country guitars, sweet vocals. Good stuff. I'd buy it if he sold it.
