Jean-Joseph Boutmy
The second eldest son of Josse. He played the organ and harpsichord and composed music. Jean-Joseph taught the harpsichord at Ghent and was the organist at St. Baaf Cathedrl. A couple of years later he was able to go to Paris, eventually becoming the organist for the ambassador of Portugal. The contributions he made to composition include works for harpsichord: concertos and divertimenti with an occasional violin. Some of his concertos illustrate a pre-Classical sonata structure. ~ Keith Johnson, All Music Guide
