Argentinean death metal/black metal foursome Jesus Martyr started playing in the early '90s under the name of Martyr, recording its first album, Fear to Be Born, in cassette format, and followed it with a second album called Humanize. In 1996, Jesus Martyr started recording Sudamerican Porno, produced by Matías Kritz and released in September of 1998 by Repulse Records.
