Jim Langemo

Jim Langemo spent a number of years playing in a handful of college rock tribute bands as well as playing in a blues ensemble called Rutherford Scattering throughout the early '90s before going solo. Along with his early blues influences of Lightnin' Hopkins, Muddy Waters, and Howlin' Wolf, as well as Bob Dylan, the Beatles, Neil Young, and an array of other '60s rock acts, Langemo brought on this acoustic hybrid to his native of Moorhead, MN. Accompanied by bassist Craig Holets and drummer Emmett Darcey -- who was eventually replaced by Kyle Bonderson in 1997 -- Langemo took his folk-rock act to the recording studio and released his first full-length, Welcome to Sadieville, through Barking Dog Records in 1996. ~ Mike DaRonco, All Music Guide
