JJ wrote this album whilst sleeping rough in the studio during late '78 and through this unfortunate situation was born a set of euro-rock tracks that were way ahead of their time. For me every track is just as important as the next however this Lp will always be rembered for one legendary track in particular, Freddie Laker. This to me is JJ's "Golden Brown". Recently, the bass riff to Peaches was voted top bass riff ever, Well, I think that the bass riff on Freddie Laker is just as important because once you have heard it you simply never forget it. In 1979 Kraftwerk were working on their 1980 album Computerworld. Somehow they were pipped to the post of euro-rock by JJ Burnel's Euroband. Yes Computerworld may have sold more copies over the years but JJ's album has bcame realised as a classic way ahead of it's time and maybe even way past Ralf and Florian. what do you think?
