Her singing style and smooth, R&B-based adult contemporary music influenced by pop divas like Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey, Jodi Mills' career in Christian music began as a member of the Celebrant Singers, where she toured extensively and met husband Wes, also a member of the group. Upon leaving the Singers, Jodi worked with Larnelle Harris and worked as a session background vocalist for groups like Code of Ethics.
