Producer Joe Perry worked with a selection of performers contracted to the Decca label, Decca eventually transformed into aspects of both the Verve and MCA catalogs. He had a good feel for several genres, turning out marvelous work by Texas C&W innovator Ernest Tubb as well as, on the other side of the stylistic rainbow, some of the best recordings of Judy Garland.
