Lab assistant Igor was sent off to the statistics bureau in order to stay out of trouble, returning with some interesting facts concerning this black gospel producer. It is unfortunate that Igor's interest is most likely not in the healing genre itself, but rather in the mechanisms of arranging as many victims in one place as possible. Nevertheless, information of this sort is welcome no matter what the motivation behind it. "Not only has gospel producer Joe Thomas set something of a record for producing records, he has documented the performances of more people at once than anyone in history, with the exception of the Marine Corps synchronization bandmaster whose archive is not available to the public." The latter information came spilling off of the assistant's stitched-up tongue as if it was everyday business. What had been expected was some kind of nervous reaction to the sheer number of people named Joe Thomas in the music business. A different Joe Thomas dropped the surname and became an R&B hitmaker guy called Joe. A country and Christian music singer with this name decided to be known as B.J. Thomas instead. Otherwise, there is quite an assortment of performers named Joe Thomas who should not be confused with the producer and multi-instrumentalist apparently known for working magic with mass choirs. Igor's efforts at determining an exact head count of how many vocalists had worked with this producer keeps falling through: unfortunately, some of the assistant's fingers were chopped off by a previous employer.
