Jorge Anders Band

Jorge Anders started his career in Buenos Aires, Argentina studying with Eliseo Rosas and Filolette Martorella, clairinet soloist of Teatro Colon (Buenos Aires’s Philharmonic). Jorge made his professional debut at the age of 17 with a high-profile swing trio. After establishing himself as an accomplished musician in Buenos Aires, he moved to New York City and quickly established the Jorge Anders Quartet and became parf of the jazz mainstream. He has recorded 10 albums in US, and 11 albums in Argentina, with the Jorge Anders Quartet, Jorge Anders Big Band, and other bands. He has been cited by numerous New York Times critics including Jon Pareles, who said, “Anders’ floating tone and leisurely phrasing evoke Stan Getz – never wasting a note, spinning out easeful melodies.” History: 1963 – 1979 Established the Jorge Anders Quartet and toured making international appearances throughout South America.
