June Monsta
Growing up in Compton, California, June (born Samuel Howard Jr. in 1983) was given his nickname by his mother, Rella Swafford Howard. June grew up in Los Angeles, a place known for its popular rags to riches stories, stardom, glamour, and fame. June has lived through the history of the rap game growing up listening to N.W.A, Rakim, DJ Quik, and Public Enemy, just to name a few. Getting a creative style of music, June had dreams of becoming an emcee since the age of 13. Leaving Compton in 2000 after his Mother passed away, June moved to Inglewood, CA, to finish his last two years of high school. While not giving up on his dream, June was still determined, staying in the studio laying down tracks day and night. In 2002, June moved to Louisianna in search of his family roots. When June returned, he was ready to get active.
