Adding a little prog and pop to indie rock, Portland, Oregon's Kaddisfly steered clear of the popular trends of their day and released the powerful EP Honorable Mention in 2001. Another EP, Humania, appeared a year later and was followed in 2003 by their first full-length, Did You Know People Can Fly?.
