DJ Kash graduated Hempstead High School in June 2000 where he deejayed multiple basement parties and started getting into the production phase of music. Amongst the youths in various parts of Brooklyn and Long Island, they started referring to DJ Ka$h as the triple threat for being well versed as an MC, producing tracks and being able to deejay. As he continued to pursue his dream on the side, DJ Ka$h received his Bachelors degree in Business Management in May 2005 at Dowling College in Oakdale, Long Island. Throughout his matriculation in college, Ka$h targeted not only Dowling but also Stony Brook, Hofstra, Farmingdale, NYIT etc., making his name known as the ultimate deejay to book for parties, events and anything jumping off in the surrounding area. Incorporating various tactics to promote his skills landed DJ Ka$h into a venture with Party 105.3 fm which aired in Long Island and Connecticut spinning reggae for the open slot from 12am to 2am, bringing a new vibe to the commercial pop sound of the station and increasing their ratings. DJ Kash formed an alliance called Maximum Vibes with Killer Kev (protégé to Ka$h) creating Maximum Vibes Culture Mix tapes that made a hit in not only Long Island but buzzed in the Brooklyn arena. The motivation for DJ Ka$h derives from his mentor Todd Terry (the Godfather of House), who he created tracks for such as Just Ice and Razah. Alongside these legendary songs, he later rapped on various songs such as Watch you know and Yo From Todds Resolution album which was voted the number one single in a European Magazine. Till this day I use the Technique 1200 which Todd handed down to me. It was the turntable he started to learn on and perfect his art on. He has creatively inspired me in my music says DJ Ka$h. Though you may know him as a DJ, The public has yet to see or hear his lyrical flow that will surely set the bar real high in this Game. Now Living in ATL The southern influence has garnered the smash new summer anthem Boyz In Da LaC which is produced and arrange by Ka$h and will lit up your Radios, iPods and Mp3 players, Look out fo the Kidd!!!
