Also known as Kwite Def, Queens emcee Kamackeris has been torching microphones since the early 1990s, both as a solo artist and as a member of various crews. His old group Dirt Nation scored a hit with the single "Kadijah," which was featured on the soundtrack to Sugar Hill . He was also a standout rapper with underground kingpins Monsta Island Czars, co-starring on their LP Escape From Monsta Island! , and appearing on MF DOOM's Operation Doomsday . Known for his streetwise lyricism and ultra-grimy flow, Kamackeris has also put out several indie 12-inches and contributed to X-Ray's Monster Mix compilation series. In the fall of 2007 he released his long-awaited debut solo album Artz and Craftz .
