Karen Lamberton

Music executive Karen Lamberton was born in New York and graduated with a B.A. in Communications from Pennsylvania State University. Moving to Los Angeles, she began working for Thorn EMI. Later working as a vice presidential assistant at the Gorfaine/Schwartz Agency, she worked with such top composers as Ennio Morricone, Hank Zimmer, and Michael Kamen. Her other stints included being an assistant to Capitol Records president Gary Gersh and being a coordinator at Worlds End whose roster includes producers Steve Lillywhite, Larry Klein, and Don Gehman. In 1998, Lamberton was hired by Judith Bright, president of Quincy Jones' music publishing company, as a creative director. ~ Ed Hogan, All Music Guide
