Kari Newhouse has a powerful voice similar to Natalie Merchant. She is a strong artist with the fans and fame to prove it. She and her band have played with some of today's most popular acts (Fuel, The Push Stars, Buffalo Tom, Beth Orton), and she was a finalist in the 1998 H.O.R.D.E. Band to Band Combat, as well as the Lilith Fair Talent Search, and was also a 1999 Lilith Fair performer.
