Kenna
Born in Ethiopia (but raised in both Cincinnati and Virginia Beach), alt-funk artist Kenna became captivated by the sounds of U2 and Stevie Wonder early on -- later using their sound as a springboard for his own musical ideas. Signed to Columbia, Kenna created a buzz with the release of his debut single, "Hell Bent," which shortly thereafter led to his full-length debut, New Sacred Cow. North American dates with Depeche Mode frontman followed in late summer 2003. Kenna's music fits in perfectly with such early 21st century dancefloor favorites as Beck, Basement Jaxx, and Daft Punk. ~ Greg Prato, All Music Guide

The 80's Gods have blessed Kenna! I have been listening to his album for 3 days straight. Maybe I too will be so blessed!
