PURE AMERICAN METAL!
Lamb of God : Sacrament. What can I say except it inspired me to listen to loads of metal albums that I can get my hands one. This album is so impressive especially having to compete with an album like Ashes of the Wake is incredible. From the blistering intro track to the dying seconds of the 'drop d' forumla right at the end of the album.
Walk With Me In Hell the intro track to the album is fantastic and easily one of the most exciting metals songs of the year. A personal favourite.
Again We Rise the follow track is so full of power and it so brilliant that it cannot be missed. Another personal favourite.
Redneck, the 'commericalized' song is still another exciting song that really shows another side to the band.
Pathetic is my favourite song on this awesome album with a song that is intense from start to finish and couldn't be described as anything but olympic.
Foot To The Throat is a little disappointing in my view because although it is a good song, isn't as powerful as the previous.
Descending is such a cleverly crafted song and a brilliant one.
Blacken the Cursed Sun is a little hard to get into and a bit too long for my liking but, still immense.
Forgotten (Lost Angels) is an exciting song. And is probably better the more times you listen to it.
Requiem, More Time to Kill and Beating on Death's Door seem to mold into one another because they all seem to consist of the 'drop d' forumla but that doesn't mean that they are bad songs, they are still tense especially Requiem.
Sacrament is a superb album even though it seems to trail off towards the end and they could have had a better ending song but nonetheless, there are only a few better metal albums in 2006 and this is one of the best. Incredible stuff. Lamb of God has proven themselves to be the most intense metal band on the planet.
