Creative Minds "One For The True Skool" is a project looking back at the early Acid and Rave days, and the progression to D&B. Its a dedication to the pioneers and music makers of 1988-1991.

I have returned back to my Creative Minds project for a 4 track E.P "One For The True Skool". looking at the early acid house/Chicago house styles from 89-91.

2 tracks are already completed and can be streamed and downloaded, for more information check my main websites music page . You can also listen and stream from my Creaive Minds myspace page with links for download. All update info (2 more tracks to come) will be added in both sections.

As you may or may not be aware, Radiohead have allowed a remix for the track "Nude" off of their latest album - In Rainbows.

Click the play button on my news page widget/player and check out my own "Soundtrack Mix" of the track. Click the vote button in the player if you want to vote for it, the competition itself ends on May 1st so its not long away until the end.

Ive only taken the vocal / certain Guitar elements and composed a whole new sequence around that. Using Piano / Strings / Flute / Digital - Glitch percussion, its a mix of Hiphop elements with Electronic and c.l.a.s.s.i.c.a.l feel.

Hopefully you will enjoy the journey it takes through the track.

Im now working on a new Broken Beat/Jazz E.P for online release. More information will be added here and to the news section of my home site soon.

Now the festive season has been and gone i'm starting work on another personal project namely "Journey". I've decided to clear out the standard format with music creation on a track-by-track basis and go for a free form open ended approach.

Taking influences from cut & paste type mixes the end result will be a free flowing blend

of all manner of musical ideas (no particular boundaries) in one complete collage of sound. Being sick of pigeon holes, standards and formats I just want to take everything I can throw at it and keep standards to a minimum. This will be a little more dance floor based compared to Various:Works - Volume One it will be very interesting to see where it leads as things progress.

More updates will be posted at my main website ( www.leightonmasters.com )and also in the blog with audio clip links, plus more Pod Cast audio to be upped fairly soon at my main website.
