Lil' Blunt

Lil' Blunt began his career alongside fellow Memphis rapper Indo G and went solo in the late '90s, releasing albums for a number of independent labels. Indo G & Lil' Blunt signed with Luke Records in the mid-'90s, making them one of the first Memphis acts to make an impact outside of Tennessee. Following two albums (The Antidote [1994] and Up in Smoke [1995]) and a regional hit ("Blame It on the Funk" [1994], later compiled on the Ringmaster soundtrack [1999]), Lil' Blunt maintained a low profile. He made his return with A Higher Level (1999) and released several other drug-themed albums, among them A Higher Level (1999), Parafenalia (2000), Bluntnatized (2001), and Pure Dope (2002). ~ Jason Birchmeier, All Music Guide
