Linda Genteel

Proclaimed "The Piano Princess" by her mentor, the legendary Liberace, composer Linda Genteel began tickling the ivories at age nine; at 13, she made her public debut playing violin with the UCLA Orchestra, further broadening her horizons by attending the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. During the mid-'80s Genteel toured and studied with Liberace, and in 1985 she performed at the White House for then-President Ronald Reagan; a lengthy stint at the Las Vegas casino the Golden Nugget followed, and in 1997 she even toured China. With former Association frontman Jim Yester, Genteel toured schools with the anti-drug musical program "Get High on Music, Not Drugs"; through her own Princessland Productions, she additionally released a series of recordings including World's Greatest Love Songs, Piano Passion and Touches of Love. ~ Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide
