When you listen to Lonny's music you might be reminded of Steve Earle, Merle Haggard, Dwight Yoakum, Pat Green, old trucks, whiskey & a smokey bar somewhere in TEXAS. His influences give him an edge that you don't hear in a lot of music today...especially not in Nashville. Lonny's latest release, "Changing Lanes" is an 11 cut independent debut. Ten of the eleven cuts were written or co-written by him. "My philosophy on songwriting is I should take this listener on a trip from point A to point B." That philosophy in addition to his passion for performing has evolved Lonny Ayres into not only a good songwriter but a great storyteller.
