Michael Gayle, jazz pianist and composer, recently returning to the scene after a three year hiatus. Gayle sounds better than ever. His sound encompasses the harmonic exploration of Thelonius Monk, the fluidity of Bud Powell, and the energy of Cecil Taylor.
