Dallas musician Mark Austin spent his formative years taking in enough Chicago and Jaco Pastorious to give him a healthy idea of what kind of music he'd like to make if given the chance. Crafting a rock/acid jazz hybrid that puts an emphasis on using the oddball harmonies and sonic shifts of the latter to drive the power of the former, Austin pulled together a few like minded musicians and started his own band.
