Martin Boykan

Boykan studied at Harvard with Piston and at Yale with Hindemith, and accepted a position at Brandeis University in 1957. His compositions are in a serial style influenced by Stravinsky and Webern and are noted for their long melodic lines. Many of his works are long pieces for small ensembles such as quartets. ~ Lynn Vought, All Music Guide
