This Swedish merchant pursued his interest in chamber music as he traveled to the port cities of Amsterdam, Viborg, Lisbon and Dublin. He composed a number of instrumental quintets as well as some vocal pieces. De Ron introduced a number of string quartets by Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven to the public of Lisbon and wrote musical articles for "Allgemeine musikalische Zeitung" on Portugal.
