greatmidget's Album Review for Mezzanine
""
Dark and Brilliant work of art
I've been raving about this album from the moment i heard it. Yes i've heard Blue Lines as well, but, frankly speaking, it doesnt even match up to this album! Blue Lines in my opnion was actually quite mediocre if not plain bad (at times).
Mezzanine's first 5 songs will pretty much have you hooked at first try esp. Teardrop. (Elizabeth Fraser should do more work with Massive attack, they make an amazing combo). Not to say that the rest are not worth listening too, Dissolved Girl happens to be my personal favourite.
Mezzainine mood is much more darker and better produced than most of their other albums. Reminescent in fact of Becoming X and Maxinquaye. Another album to add to the wish list if its not already there.

Massive Attack’s most famous album has no faults. This is the album that defines the Bristol Trip Hop scene. A Must Have Album for anyone interested in electronic music.
