When asked about his professional life, Matthew Carlin says he is a freelance writer in Brooklyn, New York, where he currently resides. But what he really enjoys are long walks on the beach, fine wines and quiet evenings at home. His pet-peeves are rudeness, waiting and the sticky residue left behind from removed price stickers on shampoo bottles. When Matthew isn't busy concocting fatuous biographical sketches of himself, he can often be found shopping for cheap CDs and books, attending musical performances and perusing art exhibits and the like in bustling Manhattan, "the capital of the world."
