Mercyside
The modern rock/dream pop outfit Mercyside formed when Jennifer Brunetti opted for another career turn. This inspiring singer/songwriter was already an award-winning filmmaker, but this Detroit-born, classically trained artist in the making yearned to make music. She earned a degree from Boston's prestigious Berklee College of Music and got into jazz before transplanting herself in New York City, aiming to make her dreams a reality at the dawn of the new millennium. She inked a deal with Mi5 Records in 2000 and issued a sultry debut, entitled Truth Is, a year later. Brunetti has also worked with the likes of Living Colour, Jesus Jones, the Stranglers' Hugh Cornwell, and ex-Ultravox frontman Midge Ure. ~ MacKenzie Wilson, All Music Guide
