“Mia Muze could soon go global” Demo Ep Review Overplay UK The half South American, half Japanese independant artist was raised in Sydney, having spent time abroad in Colorado, USA and now resides on Australia’s North East Coast Beaches. In 2006 Mia Muze released her ’Demo EP’ of unique sketches to introduce herself to the music industry. “Demo of six tracks that take all the best bits of Prodigy, Beastie Boys, Underworld, Nina Simone and anything cool, basically.” Overplay UK Associated tracks have had success on unsigned music charts and having received airplay interstate and internationally. Online Chart Success- Mia Muze’s tracks have gained much attention on various unsigned music sites. On 1.06.07 'This Place is Just So' reached Number 1 on mp3.co.uk charts. Other tracks that made unsigned charts Top Ten include 'Funk Thumpin', 'Scratchin the Dark' and 'Dr Chronic'. Collaborated tracks 'Leave', 'Man on a Mission' and 'The Hustle' received chart success on on sites such as Triple J Unearthed and Mp3.com.au. Interstate International Airplay- ‘Country to Hip Hop’ renamed as ‘Slow Country Sux’ and ‘Leave’, were in rotated airplay as part of Radio Six International’s Random Playlist, gaining exposure in the UK, Ireland, NZ, Hungary, and the Czech Republic for most of 2007. Breakbeat instrumental 'Scratchin the Dark' took over becoming a 2008 favourite. Melbourne's Progressive Broadcasting Station PBS 106.7 added Mia Muze’s Demo EP to their playlist rotation in July 2007, placing her between well known artists such as the Hilltop Hoods and Gotye. Nominations- Mia Muze was nominated for Internet Song of The Year ('Scratchin the Dark') and Radio Six International’s Record of the Year in December 2007 and 2008 ('Country to Hip Hop', and 'Scratchin the Dark' respectively). Genres and Influences- Although an Indepenant Alternative Hip Hop artist, Muze's main musical influences stem from Australian Rock, Jazz and Pop. Her music placed categories; Break beats, Drum n Bass, Soul, Ambient, Alternative, Hip Hop and Soul. Listeners have called her vocals ‘jazzy’, ‘smooth’ and ‘soulful’.

Awesome tunes! This is an artist you will want to check out. An artist trying to do someting new is very rare, these tunes set things to a new beat.
