French pop group Mickey 3D's lead singer Mickey grew up loving rock & roll. Meeting drummer Jojo in the mid-'90s, the two formed Mickey 3D and started playing bars around southern France before issuing a demo in 1996. 1999 saw their debut album Mistigri Tordure hit the streets, with La Trêve following two years later. Their quirky and boisterous version of alternative rock earned them a loyal following in France, but worldwide success escaped them. It was the attacks of September 11th and the fear that surrounded the world that inspired their third album, Tu Vas Pas Mourir de Rire, or translated to English, "You Will Not Die From Laughing".
