Mike Jones
Mike Jones' style of piano playing is rooted in the two-handed mix of swing and stride one associates with the likes of Dave McKenna, who was his earliest influence. Jones studied at the Berklee College of Music from 1981-1986 and worked in the Boston area with Herb Pomeroy, Dick Johnson, and Gray Sargent. Primarily known for his work as a solo pianist, he has done one LP for Exquisite Jazz and several CDs for Chiaroscuro. Jones has made a number of solo and group recordings for the QRS Pianomation system. ~ Ken Dryden, All Music Guide
