'Montfaucon' band was formed at the end of 2002 in Tashkent city by Epifanov Mikhail (keyboards, vocals) and Mayamsin Valentine (guitar, vocals). In the past band named 'Fatalist', played quite different music from 'Montfaucon'. In 'Fatalist' entered: Mayamsin Valentine (guitar, vocals), Balashov Vladimir (guitar), Epifanov Mikhail (bass) and Mishin Constantine (vocals, drums). However in 'Fatalist' have begun to appear the serious discords for music passions and here is result - 'Montfaucon'. At the beginning Montfaucon existed as a project of two musicians for about a year. But after they recorded demo compositions at home studio and debuted at capital radio broadcast, they have decided to complete the band line-up for live performances. New members were Hidirov Renat (drums) and Sergey Sadokov (bass). 'Montfaucon' have been selected to perform in the two day Alternative Music Festival '04 (more) alongside the UK band 'Goldrush' and Tashkent bands such as 'Titus', 'Zindan', 'Sweet Silence', playing at the open air Turkistan palace to audience of 8,000 people. In order to perform, 'Montfaucon' have passed competitive selection and audition from 60 other bands that had applied to take part in the Festival. Later band recorded a composition (named Prisoner) in a professional studio, which is on the disk with other compositions of participants. During that time the staff have complete formed: Epifanov Mikhail (keyboards, vocals), Mayamsin Valentine (guitars, vocals), Hidirov Renat (drums), Raytuzov Denis (bass). And on 27 may 2005 band have performed at the opening of 'Castle Rock' club. Band took part in Uzbekistan rock festival 'Uz-fest' where Epifanov Mikhail won nomination 'The Best Keyboardist'. Also 'Montfaucon' concertized at 'Tequila Queen' club and 'Live Sound Studio' club where band performed along with such Tashkent metal bands as 'Sepses', 'Crossection', 'Skenb', 'Iced Warm' and others. Band have took part again at Alternative Music Festival '06 on 19 February 2006 alongside the UK band 'Kiosk' and Tashkent bands such as 'Zindan', 'Skenb', 'Sweet Silence', 'The 4th Dream', 'Exorcist' and others to audience of 5000 people. The live record available in Media section. 'Montfaucon' have performed in Samarkand city on 22 April 2006 alongside local band Sprut (death metal). It's the first performance out of Tashkent city. Band was preparing for Belarus festival 'Metal crowd 2006' that have took place in Rechitsa (Belarus) on 15 July 2006, but regrettably they haven't found sponsors for the trip.
